Homemade bagels

These bagels take under 30 minutes to make and taste delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg beaten, or egg-white only

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt and whisk together lightly. Add the yogurt and mix together until it is in a crumbly form.
  • Lightly dust a flat surface with flour and knead the dough approximately 15 times or until it no longer sticks to your hands.
  • Divide into four equal balls. Take each piece and either roll into a ball, make a hole in the center and then form the ring into the shape of a bagel. Or, roll the piece into 3/4 inch and then form into a bagel ring.
  • Brush the beaten egg onto each bagel and top with desired topping.
  • Bake for 25 minutes on top rack of oven. When finished, allow to cool for 15 minutes before cutting. Enjoy!
