Hi. My name is Vanessa. I am a wife to my wonderful husband of 20 years and a mom to three remarkable kids. My oldest just turned 19 and my other two are 17 and 16. My goodness, where has the time gone. Besides the five of us, we have one adorable, sweet dog. She is about to turn six years old and is just the center of our family.

Why I started this blog?

How did this blog come to be? Well, it just sort of happened. I had been thinking about starting a blog for many years but just never did it. I always felt that I needed something to sell to people or have a passion for writing. That’s just not me. I have followed blogs that interested me over the years and the ones I enjoy the most are the ones that seem “real.” Real in the sense that it’s just about life. They aren’t trying to sell you something but just writing about themselves and their lives. I can connect with that.

So, that brings me to now. With this pandemic in full swing, I have been home since March. There’s only so much cleaning you can do before you say enough. (haha) I needed something that I could focus on and feel like I have a purpose, too. So, I went back to entertain that thought about starting a blog. I talked with my husband about it and he was supportive and encouraged me to do it. I’m glad he did. I launched this blog in August of 2020 and can’t keep myself away from it. I find myself thinking of content to write at the oddest times, like lying in bed at night, or how I can go back and make prior content even better.

Blog Intentions

This blog is intended to reach other people who share similar thoughts, beliefs, and experiences. I know in this vast world there have to be others out there like me. Others who have climbed to the highest part of the mountain of life and are excited to see what the downhill journey holds for them. Midlife is a time to live life to the fullest. You’ve been through so many different experiences already and have learned from past mistakes. Take this time now to just enjoy what you love.

I would love to share stories and even help others, too. You will find all sorts of topics on here everything from self-help to my bucket list. Please read through and enjoy. Leave a comment or two if you feel that you can connect and relate. Can’t wait to meet you!
